We’re overdue for a sketchbook update, aren’t we? Another TTRPG character, and one for Dungeons and Dragons. This is Ash the Merc, my character for the newest campaign for my Wednesday group.
Sometimes I just base characters on gimmicks or mashups. Whatever seems fun. Looking at this guy, you might be able to see which characters I am referencing.
So, my latest TTRPG character, Ash the Merc is based on three characters.
- Guts from Berserk
- Ash Williams from Evil Dead
- Link for The Legend of Zelda (Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom)
Ash the Merc is a wandering fighter who specializes in fighting monsters. I’ve talked to my DM about him perhaps becoming a monster himself. We’ll see how the campaign plays out.
The TTRPG campaign is based on the horror setting developed by GooeyCube, called Zyathé. If you’ve played D&D modules like Ravenloft you’re in the ballpark of the horror setting we’ve been exploring.
My previous TTRPG character, Shal Noctis, ended up being a lot of fun. So much so that he’s quickly integrated himself into my fiction and he’ll be showing up in my Triseria setting. I expect much the same for Ash, here. My lead monster may need a rival.
