About The Dead Life
The turn of the Millennium promised the threat of the Y2K bug and a disruption to digital life. What nobody saw coming was the rise of a ghoulish infection that brought down the world and forever altered human history. The Dead now walk and life will never be the same.
The Dead Life is a hardcore zombie survival serial emphasizing day-to-day survival, planning, and exploring all the challenges in building a small pocket of society among the spread of the living dead. The series focuses on a small band of survivors as they fortify and expand their defensible holdings, centering around a storage center in the fictional Southern California town of Emmett.
The series first ran as a weekly serial at Haunted MTL while I wrote there. The original run is still available to read at Haunted MTL. This updated version at hpkomics.com will include edited and expanded chapters leading up to the continuation of the series into Part Two.
