For today’s drawing, we have the goblin Leezle Torkton, yet another original character of mine.
The blog has a lot of sketchbook updates these days, but I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing though. The fact I am motivated to draw is a good sign, honestly.
Leezle is a character associated with my larger fantasy cycle, which is already starting to establish itself with Fang of Triseria. He is a goblin from the massive desert region of Beregym. Here is a little background on him from his CharacterHub bio:
Leezle Torkton is a goblin banished from the Western Desert by his community for a scheme that left a season’s harvest in ruins and many villagers sick with intestinal distress. Determined to find wealth and success, Leezel arrived in the city of Tradewind, finding work as a tinkerer in a clock shop. However, he finds his way into the graces of local criminals, who position him within the royal court as an advisor.
Now, Leezle works from within the power brokers of Tradewind, a financial capital of Aurin, to exert the criminal underworld’s will upon the king and court. However, Leezle’s ambition may be far greater than anyone ever suspected…
Leezle is a problematic little goblin who finds himself thrust into increasingly important roles in the economic capital of the world. His story is like a high fantasy take on a crime series. His story is separate from Nitz the Huntress – her adventures are centuries earlier.
He is a character that is within the period Fang is on his adventures, but he is not necessarily locked into that period either. Leezle is also prominently connected to a story idea of mine I have been sitting on called The Overlord, set over a thousand years after Fang”s stories.
Let me know if you would like to see more of Leezle. Otherwise, if you are interested in supporting what I do, you can do so through donations on Ko-Fi. I also take commissions.
