Just a quick update to the sketchbook today, and part of a design for something else. Here we have my favorite type of ghost, the blobby ghost.
Inspired by ghosts seen in emoji, Super Mario Bros., and Animal Crossing. The first blobby ghost I came to adore was Boo from the Mario Bros. games. The ghost house levels were always favorites of mine.
As you can see, it is a very simple design. I with a whispy tail on a comma-like body. I also gave the eyes a bit of a sunken-in look, like the Boos from Mario Bros. He also looks a bit like Wisp from Animal Crossing – just very round and friendly-looking.
